children's day

i realised that i forgot that it's children's day today...hmm it's been soooo long since i celebrate children's day...i rmb how the sch would give each student a souvenir and the teachers will buy sweets for us =) miz those days...had a nice,good slp last night...the weather was cooling n i even had a swt dream haha...went to my uncle's coffee shop jus now...saw YW with YC...haven seen YC for a super long time...he has changed...he became a bangla...he was super DARK...ahha..the colour of his legs and the colour of his hands were totally different...white legs black hands n face...YW suggested both of us take a pic cos 1 white 1 black hee..but in the end didnt..mirror mirror on the wall..whose the fairest of them all...I AM!!! muahahaha :P
on the news today...another NS man died...this time he died while doing pull ups...he has jus finished BMT and is only 18 yrs old...he even has a place in the university after he grad frm poly...haiz so sad..it's the 4th death this year...to work sooo hard in sch to get a uni place...chiong 3 mths during bmt...n then gone jus like that...as the parents said " it doesnt make sense"...i was thinking would he have died if he did not go for NS ? most prob not...arent parents worried?mroe n more pple are dying in NS...maybe if there wasnt NS their sons wouldnt have died?but...one can argue that it is also due to fate..
脸= face...people often say 'no face'...but is face really that impt?i think for the older generation it is...they are always worried abt face..like they dun want any of their children or grandchildren to do smth that will make them lose face..to them face is always more important even to the extent of their children's well-being..for eg..if their grandson has a baby and isnt married...they will find it a disgrace...but sometimes accidents do happen :) and they will scared pple talk behind their backs,say why they din teach their children properly..bla bla bla...some parents are okie with it cos they are adapting to evolution of generation but other parents are not okie with it...so instead of chiding them why u like that? next time how?why nv think? bla bla bla..why not instead try to alleviate the situation by thinking how to settle the wedding,housing and stuff..instead of jus scolding..got use meh?
to the young generation..i think they are more daring nowadays...more liberal and more thick skined...they wont mind so much of face issue...as long as they think what they do is right...but theere are always extremes...like i wonder if there will be pple that care alot abt face...eg like in the movies...the bf is ugly looking, dunno how to dress..and when the gf go out with him n they meet their frens, she wouldnt admit that that is her bf...like will lose face if pple see them tgt...in reality got such cases? jus wondering...
makan time...eating at home...today dont have the study mood..that's why im blogging...abit sians...feel like slacking...another long day in sch tmr...
